A mixture of particles of different shapes. Color yellowish brown, light brown, light gray, silvery. The smell is weak, peculiar. The taste of water extract is very astringent.

Pharmacodynamics:

Oak bark contains at least 8 % tannins, gallic and ellagic acids, quercetin and other biologically active substances.

Infusion of oak bark has astringent, anti-inflammatory effect, due to the presence of tannins.

Indications:

Inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the mouth, throat, pharynx - stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosing and Administration:

3 filter packets (4.5 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of boiling water, cover and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

Applied for rinsing the mouth and throat 1 / 2-1 glass of warm infusion 6-8 times a day.

Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

With prolonged use of infusion of the oak cortex for rinsing the oral cavity, in some cases, a decrease in smell and taste sensations is observed.
