    Composition:Oak bark
    Description:

    Pieces of bark of various shapes passing through a sieve with apertures measuring 7 mm. The color is light brown, light gray, silvery or tawny. The smell is weak, peculiar, intensifying when the bark is moistened with water. The taste of water extract is very astringent.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Oak bark contains not less than 8% of tannins, flavonoids and other biologically active substances.

    Decoction of the bark of oak has astringent, anti-inflammatory effect, due to the presence of tannins.

    Indications:

    Inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the mouth, throat, pharynx - stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug.

    Dosing and Administration:

    20 g (2 tablespoons) of oak bark are placed in enameled ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, filter. The remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the resulting broth is brought to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Used for rinsing in a warm ½-1 a glass of broth 6-8 times a day.

    It is recommended to stir up the broth before use.

    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible. With prolonged use of decoction of the oak bark for rinsing the mouth, in some cases, a decrease in smell and taste.

    Bark chopped to 50 grams in a pack of cardboard with an inner paper bag. The full text of the instruction is applied to the pack.

    Storage conditions:

    In a dry place protected from light.

    Ready-made broth stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days.

    Shelf life:

    5 years.
