    Description:Oblong, biconvex tablets, coated with a coat, grayish-yellow, with a risk for breaking on one side of the tablet. At the break, the tablet has a gray core with impregnations of almost white and yellow. The smell is missing or barely detectable.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Elevit® Pronatal is a medicinal product containing 12 essential vitamins, 4 minerals and 3 microelements. The quantitative content of vitamins and minerals corresponds to the doses recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

    Vitamin A participates in the synthesis of various substances (proteins, lipids, mucopolysaccharides) and provides a normal function of the skin, mucous membranes, as well as organs of vision.

    Vitamin B1 normalizes the activity of the heart and promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system.

    Vitamin B2 promotes the processes of tissue regeneration, including skin cells.

    Vitamin B6 helps maintain the structure and function of bones, teeth, gums, affects erythropoiesis.

    Vitamin B12 participates in erythropoiesis, promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system. B vitamins participate in the formation of various enzymes that regulate different types of metabolism in the body.

    Vitamin C participates in the oxidation of a number of biologically active substances, regulation of metabolism in connective tissue, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulability and tissue regeneration,stimulates the formation of steroid hormones, normalizes the permeability of capillaries.

    Vitamin D3 plays an important role in maintaining the balance of calcium and phosphorus in the body of a pregnant woman. With vitamin deficiency D Rickets develop in children.

    Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant.

    Biotin takes part in metabolic processes, promotes the assimilation of protein.

    Calcium pantothenate participates in the processes of metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.

    Folic acid stimulates erythropoiesis, prevents fetal development of congenital malformations (neural tube defects).

    Nicotinamide takes part in oxidation-reduction processes, provides the transfer of hydrogen and phosphate.

    Calcium participates in the formation of bone tissue, coagulability of blood, transmission of nerve impulses, reduction of skeletal and smooth muscles.

    Magnesium participates in the formation of muscle and bone tissue, and also takes part in the synthesis of protein.

    Iron is part of the hemoglobin molecule, participates in the transfer of oxygen in the body and prevents the development of anemia, including during pregnancy.

    Phosphorus, along with calcium, participates in the formation of bones and teeth, and also participates in the processes of energy metabolism.

    Manganese promotes the mineralization of bone tissue.

    Copper is necessary for the normal function of red blood cells and iron metabolism.

    Zinc is necessary for the normal formation of the fetal skeleton and tissue regeneration, is part of some hormones, including insulin.

    Indications:

    Prevention and treatment of hypovitaminosis, mineral and micronutrient deficiencies during the planning stage of pregnancy, during pregnancy, after childbirth and during breastfeeding.

    Contraindications:

    Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, hypervitaminosis of vitamin A, vitamin hypervitaminosis D, hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria, severe renal failure, iron metabolism disorders, copper exchange disorders (Wilson's disease), lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption (the drug contains lactose).

    Carefully:

    Diseases of the liver and kidneys, urolithiasis.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The drug is recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation in the recommended doses: 1tablet per day.

    It is necessary to take into account the additional intake of vitamins A and D to avoid an overdose.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Before use, consult a doctor.

    Women at the planning stage of pregnancy, during pregnancy, after childbirth and during breastfeeding are advised to take inside 1 tablet a day during meals, washing down with a small amount of water.

    The recommended duration of admission is one month before the onset of pregnancy (in the case of pregnancy planning), throughout the period of pregnancy and breastfeeding.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions to the components of the drug are possible (urticaria, facial edema, skin hyperemia, rash, anaphylactic shock). If allergic reactions occur, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor.

    Disorders from the gastrointestinal tract (abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting).

    Hypercalciuria.

    There may be headache, dizziness, insomnia, increased excitability.

    It can be colored urine in a bright yellow color.This effect is harmless and is explained by the content of riboflavin in the formulation.

    The drug contains iron, which can lead to staining the stool black. This effect is harmless and has no clinical significance.

    Overdose:

    An overdose of the drug can cause vitamin A hypervitaminosis and D, hypercalcemia, as well as an overdose of iron and copper.

    Acute overdose is accompanied by symptoms such as: sudden headache, confusion, as well as disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, such as constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting.

    If such symptoms occur, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor.

    Overdose of vitamin C (more than 15 g) can cause hemolytic anemia in some patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. Treatment: withdrawal of the drug, gastric lavage, symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Vitamin C enhances the effect and side effects of antimicrobial agents from the group of sulfonamides (including the appearance of crystals in the urine).

    The absorption of iron can be worsened by the combined administration of antacids, fluoroquinolone, bisphosphonates, levodopa,levothyroxine, penicillamine, antibiotics with tetracycline or trentin. If simultaneous reception with one of the indicated preparations is required, their reception should be protected from reception of the given preparation for 2-3 hours.

    Preparations containing calcium, magnesium, iron, copper or zinc can interact with antacids, antibiotics (tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones), levodopa, bisphosphonates, penicillamine, thyroxine, trientine, digitalis, antiviral drugs, thiazide diuretics, as well as drugs for the treatment of diseases, associated with a violation of acidity. If simultaneous reception is required, the taking of such two drugs should be time-separated by 2 hours.

    Special instructions:

    The drug should be taken in accordance with recommended doses.

    When taking other vitamins or multivitamin-mineral complexes, including food additives and / or fortified foods / drinks containing vitamin D, vitamin A, synthetic isomers isotretinoin and etretinate or beta-carotene, a doctor's consultation is necessary, since high doses of the latter can cause vitamin vitamins D and A.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    There are no data on the effect of the drug on the speed of psychomotor reactions when driving a car and working with precise mechanisms.
