    Composition:
    In 1 ml (25 drops) of the preparation contains:
    Active substance: simethicone - 100.00 mg.
    Auxiliary substances: macrogol stearate 40 - 6.17 mg, glyceryl monostearate 40-55 - 3.78 mg, carbomer - 5.98 mg, banana flavoring - 3.98 mg, potassium acesulfame - 0.30 mg, sorbitol liquid (non-crystallizing ) - 199.17 mg, sodium chloride - 0.67 mg, sodium citrate - 4.19 mg, sodium hydroxide - 0.67 mg, sorbic acid - 1.06 mg, purified water - 732.25 mg.

    Pharmacodynamics:
    Espumizan® baby reduces the amount of gases in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). Active substance - simethicone has surface-active properties and the ability to reduce the surface tension at the liquid / gas interface, which contributes to the fusion of gas bubbles and the destruction of foam in the intestines, as a result of which the released gas is absorbed or eliminated naturally by iodine-induced intestinal peristalsis. The use of simethicone in preparation for conducting diagnostic studies of the abdominal cavity prevents the occurrence of image defects caused by gas bubbles.

    Pharmacokinetics:
    Simethicone is chemically inert, after ingestion it is not absorbed from the digestive tract and acts only in its lumen. Does not interact with microorganisms and enzymes and does not affect the digestive process. It is excreted intestine unchanged.

    Indications:
    • symptoms of intestinal colic in infants;
    • symptoms of excessive formation and accumulation of gases in the digestive tract (including flatulence, increased gas formation in the postoperative period);
    • symptoms of excessive gassing,caused by functional dyspepsia; preparation for diagnostic studies of the abdominal and pelvic organs (ultrasound, radiography, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, etc.), including, as an additive to suspensions of contrast agents for imaging by the method of double contrasting;
    • acute poisoning with detergents containing foaming agents (detergents), as a defoamer.

    Contraindications:
    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, intestinal obstruction, hereditary intolerance to fructose.

    Pregnancy and lactation:
    The drug Espumizan® baby can be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:
    Inside. Before use, the emulsion vial should be shaken. The drug is dosed with drops, holding the bottle vertically with the hole down. For convenience, you can also dose in milliliters, using a measuring cap.
    The drug is taken before / during or after each meal and, if necessary, before bedtime.
    The frequency of administration and duration of use depend on the severity of the symptoms.If necessary, Espumizan® baby can be taken for a long time.
    For complaints related to infant colic and excessive gas education Children under 1 year: 5-10 drops of Espumizan® baby (added to a bottle with baby food or given with a small spoon before / during or after feeding).
    Children from 1 to 6 years: 10 drops of Espomizan® baby 3-5 times a day.
    Children from 6 to 14 years: 10-20 drops of the drug Espumizan® baby 3-5 times a day.
    Children from 14 to 18 years: 20 drops of Espomizan® baby 3-5 times a day.
    When preparing for diagnostic studies (radiography, ultrasound, etc.)
    Apply 1 ml of Espromizan® baby 3 times a day after meals the day before the test and 1 ml of Espromizan® baby on the morning of the day of the study.
    To obtain a double contrast image
    Add 2 - 4 ml of Espumizan ® baby to 1 liter of contrasting suspension.
    When preparing for esophagogastroduodenoscopy
    Inside for 2 - 3 ml of Espumizan ® baby before the study. During the endoscopy, if necessary, several milliliters of emulsion can be introduced through the endoscope channel to eliminate gas bubbles that interfere with the study.
    In case of acute poisoning with detergents containing the theisides 1 to 4 ml of Espumizan ® baby, depending on the severity of the poisoning.

    Side effects:
    No side effects were observed with the use of Espumizan® baby.
    Perhaps the development of allergic reactions to the components of the drug.

    Overdose:
    Cases of overdose are not known.

    Interaction:
    Clinically significant interaction of simethicone with another ns is established.

    If symptoms of infant colic and / or excessive gas production persist for a long time, you should consult a doctor for a medical examination.
    Espumizan * baby contains sorbitol (sorbitol), therefore its use in patients with hereditary intolerance to fructose is contraindicated.
    Information for patients with diabetes mellitus, in 1 ml of emulsion (25 drops) contains 199.00 mg of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.017 bread units (XE).

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:
    Espumizan baby does not affect the ability to drive vehicles, other mechanisms and to perform work that requires increased concentration.

    Form release / dosage:

    To 30 ml in a bottle of dark glass, equipped with a dropper dispenser, a screw cap with a system of monitoring the first opening and a measuring cap.
    For 1 bottle with instructions but for use in a cardboard bundle.

    Shelf life:

    Do not use after the expiration date of the drug.
