    Pharmacodynamics:

    Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial (bactericidal against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes), keratoplastic action. Accelerates ripening of boils. With direct action on the skin causes a slight irritation of sensitive nerve endings, followed by a decrease in their sensitivity, which leads to the appearance of reflexes that alter trophic tissue.It causes denaturation of protein molecules.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    After application on the undamaged skin under the occlusive dressing, slowly absorbed. Systemic absorption is 5-10%. The part of thiophenol components of ichtamol that is absorbed is released in bile and is removed from the body through the intestine.

    Indications:Erysipelas, eczema, pyoderma (including furunculosis).
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the ointment.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The use of the drug is indicated if the expected benefit for the mother exceeds the possible risk to the fetus or the baby.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly. Apply to affected skin 1-2 times a day. If necessary, use a bandage.

    Side effects:

    Local allergic reactions are possible.

    Overdose:

    It is unlikely in connection with low systemic absorption.

    Interaction:

    Incompatible with solutions of iodine salts, alkaloids, heavy metal salts, zinc oxide.

    Dimethyl sulfoxide, ethyl alcohol and glycerol with simultaneous application with ichthyol ointment enhances systemic absorption of ichthamol and increases the depth of its penetration into soft tissues.

    Special instructions:

    Ointment is intended for external use only, it is not recommended to apply to open wounds.

    Do not let on the mucous membranes of the mouth or eyes.

    Ointment for external use, 10%, 20%.

    Packaging:

    To 25 g in cans of glass with a triangular aureole with a lid stretched.
