    Composition:

    Laminaria thallus - sea kale.

    Characteristic

    Laminaria Thallus contains high-molecular polysaccharides (laminaria), iodide and bromide salts, mannitol, alginic acid, alginates (calcium salts of alginic acids), ascorbic acid, macro- and microelements and other biologically active substances.

    Description:Pieces of thallus of various shapes passing through a sieve with apertures 3 mm in size. Pieces of Japanese kelp are dense, leathery, ribbon-like without trunks; Laminaria sugary - dense, leathery, wrinkled, leaf-shaped without stem. The edges of the plates are wavy. The color is dark gray, with a greenish tinge; Outside, the pieces of thallus are covered with a white coating of salts. The odor is peculiar. The taste of the water extract is brackish.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Has a laxative, thyroid and hypolipidemic action.

    The laxative effect is due to irritation of the intestinal mucosa receptors and peristalsis stimulation for increasing the amount of intestinal contents.

    Indications:Applied as a laxative for chronic atonic constipation, in including those in patients with hyperlipidemia.
    Contraindications:

    Increased individual sensitivity (including iodine), hyperthyroidism, multinodular goitre, thyrotoxicosis of various genesis, nephritis, nephrosis, hemorrhagic diathesis, furunculosis, acne, chronic pyoderma, intestinal obstruction, acute abdominal syndrome, appendicitis and other inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity, acute febrile conditions, pregnancy,children under 12 years of age, the period of breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Apply inside 1 / 2-1 teaspoonful 1 time a day, washing down with water.

    The course of treatment is 15-30 days.
    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible (skin itching, skin hyperemia). With prolonged use and increased sensitivity to iodine, the phenomena of iodism (rhinitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema, salivation, lacrimation, acne on the skin) are possible.

    Overdose:When the drug is used in doses exceeding the recommended dosage, dose-dependent side effects may increase.
    Interaction:Not described.
    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:The drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including, control of vehicles, work with moving mechanisms).
    Form release / dosage:Thallus crushed.
    Packaging:

    To 50 g or 75 g in a pack of cardboard with an inner bag of paper, polyethylene or polypropylene.
