Pharmacodynamics:Acts as a laxative due to the ability to swell, increasing in volume, stimulate the mechanoreceptors of the intestinal mucosa. Due to the content of iodine, the drug also has hypoglycemic and thyroid effects.
The drug removes manifestations of mastalgia, normalizes the proliferation of the epithelium of the mammary glands, leading to regression of the cysts.
Pharmacokinetics:Not studied.
Indications:It is used for chronic atonic constipation. It is used in the complex therapy of fibrocystic mastopathy.

Side effects:Heartburn, flatulence.
With prolonged use, it is possible to develop the phenomena of iodism: acne, ptyalism, lacrimation, rhinitis, and Quincke's edema.
