    Composition:

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Sea-buckthorn oil contains a mixture of carotene and carotenoids (not less than 180 mg%), amounts of tocopherols (at least 110 mg%), glycerides of oleic, linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids.

    The pharmacological action is caused by the presence of carotene (provitamin A), tocopherols (vitamin E) and other lipophilic substances in the sea buckthorn oil.


    Indications:

    As a wound-healing agent in complex therapy for skin and mucous membrane damage: in gastroenterology - with peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum; in gynecology - with colpitis, endocervicitis, erosions, cervix; in surgery - to stimulate the reparative processes in case of wound damage to the skin, radiation injuries, burns; in proctology - with hemorrhoids, cracks in the rectum.

    Contraindications:

    Increased individual sensitivity to the drug.

    When applied orally: inflammatory processes in the gallbladder, liver, pancreas, cholelithiasis; for rectal administration, diarrhea.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Apply inside, topically (intravaginally, rectally) and externally.

    When skin lesions are used in the form of oil dressings. On the previously cleaned from necrotic tissues, the skin area is applied sea ​​buckthorn oil, and then cotton-gauze bandage, which is changed every other day. Treatment is carried out until the appearance of granulations.

    In the treatment of colpitis, endocervicitis, erosion of the cervix is ​​used in the form of tampons, richly impregnated with sea-buckthorn oil. The course of treatment for colpitis 10-15 procedures; endocervicitis, cervical erosion 8-12 procedures; in the treatment of cracks in the rectum and hemorrhoids is 5-7 days.

    With gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer take inside 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day for 3-4 weeks.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible. When applying sea buckthorn oil on the burn surface, a burning sensation is possible; when taking the drug inside - a feeling of bitterness in the mouth, diarrhea, biliary colic.
