Active ingredient: sea buckthorn oil (concentrate of sea-buckthorn oil with the content of carotenoids in terms of β-carotene is not less than 240 mg%) - 500 mg;

Excipients: Butyl hydroxy anisole 0.5 mg, butyl hydroxytoluene 0.5 mg, silicon dioxide colloidal anhydrous 80 mg, semisynthetic glycerides (Suppocyr BM) - sufficient amount to produce a suppository with a mass of 2000 mg.

Description:

Pharmacodynamics:

Sea-buckthorn oil is a mixture of carotene and carotenoids, the amounts of tocopherols, chlorophyll compounds, oleic, lenolenic, palmitic and stearic acid glycerides. The complex of biologically active substances stimulates reparative processes in the case of damage to the mucous membrane of the rectum of various etiologies. It is established that all three forms of vitamin A (retinol, retinal and retinoic acid) increases the number of mitoses in epithelial cells and prevents accumulation of keratogialin in them. Retinol and its derivatives stimulate epithelization and prevent excessive cornification of the epithelium. It is proved that vitamin A.is a natural constituent of epithelial cells that promotes the synthesis of RNA and sulfated mucopolysaccharides, which play an important role in the permeability of cellular and subcellular membranes.

Indications:

Hemorrhoids, fissures of the anus, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the rectum, proctitis, radiation damage to the mucous membrane of the lower parts of the colon.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.

Pregnancy and lactation:

There are no restrictions on the use during pregnancy and lactation.

Dosing and Administration:

Rectally. Suppositories are released from the contoured package, previously cutting the film along the contour of the suppository using scissors and injected deep into the anus after bowel movement. Adults and children over 14 years of age are prescribed 500 mg twice a day. Children under 6 years old - 500 mg once a day; 6-14 years, 500 mg 1-2 times a day. The average duration of treatment is 10-15 days.

If necessary, after 4-6 weeks, repeat the course of treatment.

Side effects:

There may be allergic reactions, a burning sensation in the rectum, diarrhea. Soreness with prolonged use.

Overdose:Cases of overdose are not described.
