    Pharmacodynamics:Stimulates reparative processes in the skin and mucous membranes, accelerates the healing of damaged tissues. Has a restorative effect, has antioxidant and cytoprotective effect. Reduces the intensity of free radical processes and protects cell and subcellular membranes from damage. Pharmacological action is due to the presence in the sea buckthorn oil of carotene (provitamin A), tocopherols (vitamin E) and glycerides of unsaturated acids.
    Indications:

    As a wound healing agent for stimulation of reparative processes as a part of combined therapy for skin and mucous membrane damage: in gastroenterology - in peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum; in gynecology - with colpitis, endocervicitis, cervical erosion; in otorhinolaryngology - postoperative wounds; at proctology with external hemorrhoids; with wound lesions of the skin, radiation injuries, burns.

    As a general restorative.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity. For oral administration - cholecystitis, cholangitis, pancreatitis, hepatitis, cholelithiasis, children under 12 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The application is possible if the expected benefit for a woman exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or child. It is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, topically and externally.

    In gastroenterology, the drug is taken orally 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) 2-3 times a day. A course of treatment 10-14 days. On the appointment of a doctor, the course of treatment can be extended to 1 - 2 months.

    Sea-buckthorn oil is used topically:

    - with erosion of the cervix, tampons heavily soaked in sea-buckthorn oil (5 - 10 ml on a tampon) enter, densely pressing to an erosive surface, daily, once a day for 20 - 30 minutes. In colpitis and endocervicitis, the walls of the vagina are lubricated after they have been previously cleaned with cotton balls.     - with external hemorrhoids after hygienic procedure, a tampon moistened with sea buckthorn oil (5-10 ml per tampon) is pressed tightly against the hemorrhoids 1 to 2 times a day for 10 to 15 minutes. The course of treatment 5 - 7 procedures.

    - in otorhinolaryngology with tympanoplasty, tampons impregnated with sea buckthorn oil (5-10 ml per tampon) are injected for 2 to 3 hours into the external auditory meatus or tamponized by the bone wound surface during a sanative operation on the middle ear. The procedure is carried out daily after removal of postoperative tampons impregnated with a solution of an antibiotic or hydrocortisone. A course of treatment 7-10 procedures.

    Outwardly, as a wound-healing agent, the drug is applied to the previously stripped skin of the necrotic tissues and a cotton bandage is applied. The procedure is repeated every other day (until the appearance of granulations). A course of treatment 7-10 procedures.

    As a general restorative, the drug is administered orally 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) once a day.

    Side effects:

    Bitterness in the mouth, burning (with local and external use). Allergic reactions are possible.
