Composition:

The leaves contain glycoside orthosiphonin, triterpene saponins, tannins and other biologically active substances.

Pharmacodynamics:

Infusion of leaves of orthosiphon stamen (kidney tea) has a moderate diuretic and spasmolytic effect, and also has choleretic properties, increases the secretory activity of the gastric mucosa.

Diuretic effect is accompanied by the excretion of urine chloride, urea and urinary acid.

Indications:

In the complex therapy for edema, resulting from a violation of kidney function, chronic heart failure.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug, children under 12 years.

Pregnancy and lactation:Application is possible after consultation with the attending physician
Dosing and Administration:

1 filter bag (1.5 g) is placed in a glass or enamel bowl, poured into 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, covered and insisted for 15 minutes, then the filter bag is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.

Take inside in a warm form for 1/2 cup 2 times a day for 20 - 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. Conducting a second course is possible in agreement with the doctor. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
