    Pharmacodynamics:Taurine refers to amino acid preparations that stimulate the reparative and regenerative processes in diseases of the retina of the dystrophic nature, traumatic lesions of the eye tissues, pathological processes that are accompanied by a sharp disruption of the metabolism of these tissues. As an amino acid that contains sulfur, the drug helps to normalize the functions of cell membranes, optimize energy and metabolic processes, maintain the constancy of the electrolyte composition of the cytoplasm of cells, inhibit the synaptic transmission (neurotransmitter role).
    Pharmacokinetics:

    When instilled Taurine penetrates into the environment of the eye, where it exerts its specific effect. When used in therapeutic doses, the drug is not practically absorbed into the systemic circulation.

    Indications:

    Dystrophies of the cornea; senile, traumatic, radiation and other types of cataract; as well as trauma to the cornea (as a stimulant of reparative processes) in adults.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to taurine, pregnancy and lactation. DThe Russian age.

    Dosing and Administration:

    In cataracts, 4% solution of taurine (eye drops) is prescribed in the form of instillations 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day for 3 months. The course is repeated at a monthly interval. In injuries and dystrophic diseases, corneas are used in the same doses for one month.

    Storage conditions:

    In the dark place at a temperature of 15 to 25 ° C.

    Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

    4 years in glass bottles and 3 years in polyethylene or polypropylene bottles.
