    Pharmacodynamics:

    It has enterosorbent, detoxifying and anti-diarrhea action. Refers to a group of polyvalent physicochemical antidotes. It has a large surface activity, adsorbs poisons and toxins from the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) to their absorption, namely: alkaloids, glycosides, barbiturates and other hypnotic drugs used for general anesthesia. And also, salts of heavy metals, toxins of bacterial, vegetable, animal origin, phenol derivatives, sulfonamides and gases.

    It weakly adsorbs acids and alkalis (including iron salts, cyanides, malathion, methanol, ethylene glycol).

    Do not irritate the mucosa of the digestive tract.

    Special treatment (increase in porosity) significantly increases the adsorbing surface of the coal.

    Indications:

    As an enterosorbent for detoxification in exo and endogenous intoxications:

    - The meteorism,

    - Dyspepsia,

    - The processes of putrefaction, fermentation, hypersecretion of mucus and gastric juice:

    - Diarrhea.

    - Poisoning by chemical compounds and drugs (incl. organophosphorus and chlororganic compounds, psychoactive drugs),

    - Poisoning with alkaloids, glycosides, heavy metal salts,

    - Nutritional intoxication; food poisoning, dysentery, salmonellosis,

    - An abstinent alcoholic syndrome.

    As an enterosorbent in complex therapy, the drug is shown when:

    - Burn disease in the stage of toxemia and septicotoxemia;

    - Renal insufficiency,

    - Chronic hepatitis, acute viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis,

    - Atopic dermatitis,

    - Bronchial asthma,

    - Gastritis, chronic cholecystitis, enterocolitis, cholecystopancreatitis;

    - Treatment of allergic diseases,

    - Treatment of metabolic disorders,

    - Treatment of intoxication in cancer patients on the background of radiation and chemotherapy;

    - Preparation for X-ray and endoscopy studies (to reduce the gas content in the intestine).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract (including peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer, ulcerative colitis), bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract.

    Children up to 3 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    In pregnancy and lactation, always consult with your doctor before taking Ultra - Adsorb.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Capsules should be taken with a small amount of water 1 -2 hours before or 1 -2 hours after ingestion and other medicines. Do not use for drinking other drinks (coffee, tea, juices, etc.), as they reduce the effectiveness of the drug.

    With dyspepsia, flatulence adults - from 5 to 10 capsules (1-2 g) 3-4 times a day.

    The course of treatment is 3-7 days.

    The course of treatment for diseases accompanied by processes of fermentation and putrefaction in the intestine, increased secretion of gastric juice, lasts 1-2 weeks. Adults - 10 -16 capsules up to 3 times a day (up to 10 g).

    Children 7-14 years - 2 - 3 capsules for admission, up to 4 - 5 times a day (up to 7 g).

    Children from 3 to 7 years -1 - 3 capsules 2 times a day (up to 5 g) or as directed by a doctor.

    Side effects:

    Dyspepsia, constipation or diarrhea; with prolonged use - hypovitaminosis, a decrease in absorption from the gastrointestinal tract of nutrients (fats, proteins), hormones. Long-term use, as well as taking large doses of Ultra-Adsorb can affect digestion and metabolism, as the drug adsorbs enzymes, vitamins and minerals.

    Interaction:

    Reduces the effectiveness of concomitantly taken medicines, incl.antitoxic drugs, the effect of which develops after absorption (methionine and etc.). Reduces the effectiveness of drugs acting on the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract (including ipecacuanas and thermopsis).

    Special instructions:

    When treating intoxication, it is necessary to create an excess of coal in the stomach (before washing it) and in the intestine (after washing the stomach). Reducing the concentration of coal in the medium promotes desorption of the bound substance and its absorption (to prevent the resorption of the released substance, it is recommended to rinse the stomach and the purpose of the coal). The presence of dietary masses in the gastrointestinal tract requires the introduction of activated charcoal in high doses, t. The contents of the digestive tract are sorbed by coal and its activity is reduced. If the poisoning is caused by substances involved in enterohepatic circulation (cardiac glycosides, indomethacin, morphine and other opiates), it is necessary to use coal for several days. When using the drug for more than 10-14 days, preventive prescription of vitamins and calcium preparations (only under the supervision of a doctor) is necessary.

    Ultra - Adsorbent should be stored separately from substances emitting gases or vapors into the atmosphere.Storage in air (especially wet) reduces the sorption capacity of coal.

    The use of Ultra-Adsorb can lead to staining of the stool in black, which is not a clinical symptom.
