    Pharmacodynamics:
Dioxydin is an antibacterial bactericidal broad-spectrum drug from the group of quinoxaline derivatives. It is active against Proteus vulgaris Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Friedlander sticks, Esherichia coli, Shigella dysenteria, Shigella flexneri, Shigella boydii, Shigella sonnei, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pathogenic anaerobes (Clostridium perfringens). It acts on strains of bacteria resistant to other antibacterial drugs, including antibiotics. Does not have a local irritant effect. Possible development of drug resistance of bacteria.
Treatment of burns and purulent-necrotic wounds promotes faster cleaning of the wound surface, stimulates reparative regeneration and marginal epithelization and favorably influences the course of the panel process.
Pharmacokinetics:When topical application is partially absorbed from the wound or burn surface, it is excreted by the kidneys.
Indications:Dioxydin in solution is indicated for the treatment of various forms of purulent bacterial infection caused by sensitive microflora when other chemotherapeutic agents are ineffective or poorly tolerated.
External application - wound and burn infection (surface and deep wounds of various locations, long-term unhealed wounds and trophic ulcers, phlegmon soft tissues, infected burns, purulent wounds in osteomyelitis).
Intracavernal administration purulent processes in the thoracic and abdominal cavity, with purulent pleurisy, empyema of the pleura, lung abscesses, peritonitis, cystitis, wounds with deep purulent cavities (soft tissue abscesses, pelvic cell phlegmon, postoperative wounds of the urinary and bile ducts, purulent mastitis and others) .
Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to dioxin, adrenal insufficiency (including in history), pregnancy, lactation period, children's age (under 18 years).
    Carefully:Renal failure.
Pregnancy and lactation:The drug is contraindicated.
    Dosing and Administration:
    It is applied externally, intracavitary.
Dioxydin solution 10 mg / ml can not be used for intravenous administration, because of the instability of the solution when stored at low temperatures.
External application. To treat superficial purulent wounds on the wound surface, previously cleared of purulent necrotic masses, apply a cloth moistened with a solution of dioxygen 5-10 mg / ml.Bandages are changed daily or every other day, depending on the condition of the burn wound and the course of the wound process. With purulent wounds in the urinary system, it is recommended that the dressing be changed twice a day. Deep wounds after treatment, plugged or irrigation with a solution of 5 mg / ml, and in the presence of a drainage tube, 20 to 100 ml of a solution of the drug 5 mg / ml are injected into the cavity. Dressings are done once a day.
For the treatment of deep purulent wounds in osteomyelitis (bruises of the hand, feet), a long rinsing of the wounds with the solution of the preparation 5 mg / ml is applied (drainage of the wound with a thin catheter, rinsing with rare drops for 3-4 hours once or twice a day, but not more than 400- 500 ml of solution for rinsing).
In osteomyelitis purulent wounds are washed with a solution of 5 mg / ml at 15-20 drops per minute. Within 1-2 hours, in severe forms - up to 12 hours.
To obtain a solution of 5 mg / ml, the ampoule solution of the drug is diluted to the desired concentration with sterile isotonic sodium chloride solution or water for injection.
Dioxydin in the form of solutions 1-2 mg / ml are also used to prevent infection after surgery.
Intracavitary injection. Before the beginning of the course of treatment, a drug tolerance test is performed by inserting 10 ml of a solution of 10 mg / ml into the cavity. In the absence of side effects after 3-6 hours begin course treatment, otherwise the drug is not used. In the cavity the drug is injected through a drainage tube, a catheter or syringe - 10-50 ml of a solution of 10 mg / ml.
The maximum daily dose for administration in the cavity is 70 ml. The drug is usually administered once a day. According to the indications, it is possible to administer a daily dose in two divided doses. The course of treatment, usually lasts 3 weeks or more. If necessary, after 1-1,5 months, repeat the course.
    Side effects:
With intracavitary injection, headache, chills, fever, convulsive muscle contraction, allergic reactions, photosensitizing effect (the appearance of pigmented spots on the body when exposed to sunlight), nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are possible.
With external application - okoloranevoy dermatitis.
Interaction:If necessary, dioxin is used concomitantly with antihistamines or calcium preparations (with increased sensitivity to drugs).
    Special instructions:
Diosidin is prescribed only to adults. Before the beginning of the course of treatment, a drug tolerance test is carried out, for which 10 ml of a solution of 10 mg / ml is injected into the cavity. If there are no side effects during 6 hours (dizziness, chills, fever), the course is prescribed.
Dioxydin is prescribed only in severe forms of infectious diseases or in the ineffectiveness of other antibacterial drugs, including cephalosporins of II-IV generations, fluoroquinolones, carbapenems.
In chronic renal failure, the dose is reduced.
When pigmented spots appear, the duration of administration of a single dose is increased, the dose is reduced, antihistamines are prescribed, or dioxygen is canceled.
Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:During the treatment period, care should be taken when driving vehicles and engaging in other potentially hazardous activities requiring increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
