    Composition:
    1 g of ointment contains:
    active substance: hydroxymethylquinoxaline dioxide (dioxidin) - 50.0 mg;
    Excipients: methylparahydroxybenzoate - 0.8 mg, propyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.2 mg, distilled monoglycerides 50.0 mg, macrogol 1500 to 50.0 mg, macrogol 400 to 1.0 g.
    Description:Ointment is yellow to greenish-yellow in color. During storage, a slight liquefaction of the top layer is allowed.

    Pharmacodynamics:Antibacterial bactericidal preparation of a wide spectrum of action. It is active against Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteria, Shigella flexneri, Shigella boydii, Shigella sonnei, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pathogenic anaerobes (Clostridium perfringens). It acts on strains of bacteria resistant to other antibacterial drugs, including antibiotics. Does not have a local irritant effect. Possible development of drug resistance of bacteria. Treatment with ointment burns and purulent necrotic wounds promotes faster cleaning of the wound surface, stimulates regeneration and marginal epithelization and favorably influences the course of the wound process. In experimental studies, the presence of teratogenic, embryotoxic and mutagenic effects was demonstrated.
    Pharmacokinetics:For external and local use, it is partially absorbed from the wound or burn surface. Good and quickly penetrates into all organs and tissues, is excreted by the kidneys. Do not cumulate.
    Indications:Wound and burn infection: superficial and deep purulent wounds of various locations, including the presence of deep purulent cavities - abscesses of soft tissues, phlegmon of the pelvic fat, postoperative wounds of the urinary and bile ducts, purulent mastitis.Long-term non-healing wounds and trophic ulcers, phlegmon soft tissues, infected burns, purulent wounds in osteomyelitis, pustular skin diseases.
    Contraindications:
    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, adrenal insufficiency, including in the history, children's age (under 18 years).
    Carefully:Renal failure!
    Pregnancy and lactation:
    The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy. Application in the lactation period is possible only when the child is transferred to artificial feeding.
    Dosing and Administration:
    Outer, local. Dioxydin® thin layer is applied to the affected area, previously cleaned from purulent necrotic masses, or pre-coated with a napkin layer 2-3 mm thick. Impregnated with ointment tampons are introduced into the purulent cavity. Depending on the condition of the wound and the course of the wound process, the dressings with Dioxydin® ointment are changed daily or every other day. Duration of treatment up to 3 weeks.
    Side effects:There are local allergic reactions, peroronevoy dermatitis.
    Overdose:
    Cases of overdose of Dioxydin®, ointment for external and topical application, are not described.
    Interaction:
    Cases of interaction or incompatibility with other drugs are not described.
    Special instructions:
    With chronic renal failure, the dose of ointment is reduced. Assign only if other antimicrobial agents are ineffective.
    Form release / dosage:Ointment for external use 5%.
    Packaging:For 30 and 40 grams of aluminum tubes. Each tube together with instructions for medical use of the drug is placed in a pack of cardboard.
    Storage conditions:
    At a temperature of 2 to 8 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children.
    Shelf life:3 years. Do not use the drug after the expiration date.
