    Composition:

    1 ml of syrup contains:

    Active components:

    Ivy leaves extract dry (5-7.5: 1) * - 7.00 mg

    Excipients:

    Sorbitol liquid (E420), glycerol (E422), sodium benzoate (E211), citric acid monohydrate (E330), aromatic balsam **, purified water

    * Ivy leaves extract dry (5-7.5: 1) is made from: Ivy Leaf (Hedera helix L., Araliaceae family, folium) and ethanol 30% (extractant).

    ** Balm aromatic contains propylene glycol (E1520), ethanol (E1510), citronella oil, citral from Litsea cubeba, lemon oil, coriander oil.

    Description:

    Syrup yellowish brown with a characteristic odor. Opalescence is allowed.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Herbal remedy for cough; has an expectorant, mucolytic and bronchospasmolytic effect. Reduces the viscosity of sputum and promotes its spillage.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    The drug is a dry extract of ivy leaves and contains a complex of biologically active substances (triterpene saponins), so it is not possible to carry out pharmacokinetic studies.

    Indications:

    As an expectorant in the complex therapy of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-recover sputum.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug components, pregnancy, breastfeeding period, sugar / isomaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, children under 2 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Due to the lack of data on the safety of the use of dry extract of ivy leaves in pregnant women and during breastfeeding, therefore, the drug Herbion® syrup Ivy is not recommended for this group of patients.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, after eating.

    Children from 2 to 5 years: 2.5 ml of syrup (1/2 dosing spoon) 2 times a day. Children from 6 to 12 years: but 5 ml of syrup (1 metering spoon) 2 times a day. Adults and adolescents older than 12 years: 5-7.5 ml of syrup (1-1.5 dosing spoons) 2 times a day.

    Dosage of the drug is done with a dosing plastic spoon.

    During the treatment with Herbion, syrup of ivy is recommended to use a sufficient amount of liquid in a warm form (water, tea, etc.). Duration of treatment - 7 days.

    Conducting a second course is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible. Very rarely, a laxative effect can be observed; the preparation contains sorbitol.

    In a comparative study of the efficacy and safety of Herbion® ivy syrup (Herbion® syrup Ivy was taken by 63 patients), one case was recorded: skin rash, itchy skin and nausea.

    Overdose:

    When taking large doses (three times the recommended daily dose), nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may develop.

    Treatment: withdrawal of the drug, symptomatic therapy.

    Interaction:

    There are no reports of drug interactions between Herbion® ivy syrup and other drugs.The drug should not be used simultaneously with antitussive drugs that reduce the formation of sputum, tk. this makes it difficult for the diluted sputum to escape.

    Special instructions:

    Do not take the drug in doses that exceed those recommended in the instructions.

    For diseases of the respiratory system, accompanied by difficulty breathing, fever, prolonged cough or sputum with a trace of blood, you should immediately consult a doctor. If there is no effect on the background of drug treatment and worsening of the condition, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Herbion® ivy syrup contains ethyl alcohol (0.01 mg / ml) and sorbitol (E420). The maximum single dose (2.5 ml) for children (from 2 to 5 years) contains 0.00025 g of absolute ethyl alcohol; in the maximum single dose (5 ml) for children (from 6 to 12 years) contains 0.0005 g of absolute ethyl alcohol; in the maximum single dose (from 5 ml to 7.5 ml) for adults and adolescents over the age of 12 lies 0.0005 g - 0.00075 g absolute ethyl alcohol. In the maximum daily dose: (5ml) for children (from 2 to 5 years) contains 0.0005 g of absolute ethyl alcohol; (10 ml) for children (6 to 12 years) contains 0.0010 g of absolute ethyl alcohol; (10 to 15 ml) for adults and adolescents over 12 years old contains from 0.0010 g to 0.0015 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol.

    Patients with diabetes should take into account that 5 ml of syrup contains 2.5 g of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.21 carbohydrate (grain) units (XE).

    If there is no effect on the background of treatment with the drug within 7 days or worsening of the condition, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    There is no evidence of the effect of Herbion® syrup on ivy, on the ability to drive vehicles and work with technical devices that require a high concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

    Syrup.

    Packaging:

    For 150 ml of syrup in a vial of dark glass (type III), sealed with a plastic stopper with a dissector of liquid and a plastic lid with control of the first opening. Each bottle is placed in a cardboard box together with a dispensing plastic spoon and instructions for use.

    Storage conditions:

    At a temperature of no higher than 30 ° C. Do not store in the refrigerator.

    Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

    2 years.

    The syrup should be used within 3 months after opening the vial.

    Do not use after the expiration date.
