    Composition:

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Indomethacin has a local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and anti-edematic effect.

    With external application removes pain, reduces edema and erythema, helps reduce morning stiffness and swelling of the joints, contributes to an increase in the volume of movements.

    Indications:

    - Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system (articular syndrome with rheumatism and exacerbation of gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis with radicular syndrome, sciatica, inflammatory defeat of ligaments and tendons, bursitis, sciatica, lumbago);

    - muscular pain of rheumatic and non-rheumatic origin;

    - Post-traumatic inflammation of soft tissues and musculoskeletal system (injuries and ruptures of ligaments, bruises).

    Contraindications:

    - Hypersensitivity to indomethacin, other NSAIDs, or other components of the dosage form;

    - Stomach ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer (in the stage of exacerbation);

    - hypocoagulation;

    - pregnancy and lactation;

    - Children's age (up to 14 years);

    - violation of the integrity of the skin.

    Carefully:Simultaneous use of the drug with other NSAIDs, bronchial asthma, allergic "hay fever", polyps of the nasal mucosa.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly.

    Gel rub a thin layer in the skin of the painful areas of the body: 5% - 3-4 times a day, 10% - 2-3 times a day.

    Single dose for adults is 4-5 cm squeezed from the tube gel, and for children over 14 years - 2-2.5 cm.

    The daily dose should not exceed 20 cm 5% gel or 15 cm 10% gel for adults and 10 cm 5% gel or 7.5 cm 10% gel for children.

    Side effects:

    With prolonged use, local side effects are possible: itching, redness, rash, allergic reactions, itching and flushing of the skin, burning; with prolonged use - systemic manifestations.In isolated cases - exacerbation of psoriasis.

    Interaction:

    Indomethacin reduces the effectiveness of uricosuric drugs, hypotensive and diuretics (saluretics); strengthens the effect of indirect coagulants, antiaggregants, fibrinolytics, side effects of mineralocorticosteroids, estrogens, other NSAIDs; enhances the hypoglycemic effect of sulfonylurea derivatives.

    Sharing with paracetamol increases the risk of developing nephrotoxic effects.

    Ethanol, colchicine, glucocorticosteroids increase the risk of developing gastrointestinal complications, accompanied by bleeding.

    Increases the concentration in the blood of drugs lithium, methotrexate, digoxin and penicillins (tubular secretion blockade).

    Cyclosporine, gold preparations increase the nephrotoxicity of indomethacin.

    Cefamandol, cefoperazone, valproic acid increase the risk of hypoprothrombinemia and the risk of bleeding.

    Potentiates the toxic effect of zidovudine.

    Special instructions:

    The drug should be applied only to undamaged skin.

    Avoid getting the gel on open wounds, in the eyes and other mucous membranes.

    For prolonged treatment (more than 10 days), the blood picture (the number of white blood cells and platelets) should be monitored.
