    Description:Transparent colorless liquid.
    Pharmacotherapeutic group:Calcium-phosphorus exchange regulator
    ATX: & nbsp

    B.05.X.A   Electrolyte solutions

    B.05.X.A.07   Calcium chloride

    Pharmacodynamics:

The preparation of calcium replenishes calcium deficiency, which is necessary for the process of nerve impulse transmission, reduction of skeletal and smooth muscles, myocardial activity, bone formation, blood coagulation.Reduces the permeability of the cells and the vascular wall, it prevents the development of inflammatory reactions, increases resistance to infection and can significantly enhance phagocytosis (phagocytosis, declining after receiving the sodium chloride is increased after ingestion of calcium supplements). With intravenous injection stimulates the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system, enhances the secretion of epinephrine by the adrenal glands, and has a moderate diuretic effect.

    Pharmacokinetics:

In plasma about 45% is in complex with proteins. About 20% is excreted by the kidneys, the remaining amount (80%) is removed from the intestinal contents.

    Indications:

Bleeding of various etiology and localization (pulmonary, gastrointestinal, nasal, uterine, etc.); allergic diseases (serum sickness, urticaria, febrile syndrome, itching, swelling of Quincke); dystrophic alimentary swelling, spasmophilia; hypoparathyroidism, hypocalcemia, increased vascular permeability (hemorrhagic vasculitis, radiation disease), uterine inertia, poisoning magnesium salts, oxalic acid and fluoric acid; proximal myoplegia (hyperkaliemic form).

    Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, hypercalcemia, atherosclerosis, propensity to thrombosis.

    Dosing and Administration:

Intravenously slowly (6-8 cap / min), 5-15 ml of 10% solution, diluting before injecting 100-200 ml of a 0.9% solution NaCl or 5% solution of dextrose.

    Side effects:

With intravenous administration - a feeling of heat, hyperemia of the skin of the face, bradycardia, with rapid introduction - fibrillation of the ventricles of the heart.

Local reactions (with intravenous administration) - pain and congestion along the vein.

    Overdose:

Overdose can cause depression of cardiac activity.

    Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:

When combined with thiazide diuretics can increase hypercalcemia, reduce the effect of calcitonin in hypercalcemia, reduces the bioavailability of phenytoin.

    Special instructions:

Do not administer subcutaneously or intramuscularly, tissue necrosis is possible (high concentrations of calcium chloride, starting at 5%, cause severe irritation of the vascular wall).

In case of getting the solution of the drug under the skin or in the muscle, it should be possible to suck calcium chloride Using a syringe and at the injection site, add 10 ml of a 25% solution of sodium sulfate or 5-10 ml of a 25% solution of magnesium sulfate.

With the intravenous administration of calcium chloride, a sensation of heat appears first in the oral cavity and then throughout the body (previously used to determine the speed of blood flow - the time between the moment of its introduction into the vein and the appearance of a sensation of heat).

    Form release / dosage:

Solution for intravenous administration is 100 mg / ml.

    Packaging:

5 ml, 10 ml of the drug into neutral glass ampoules with a notch marked with a dot (paint).

10 ampoules are placed in a contour mesh package made of a polyvinyl chloride film.

1 circuit cell pack together with instructions for use, a scarifier or an ampoule knife is placed in a cardboard box.

    Storage conditions:

At a temperature not higher than 25 ° C, out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

5 years. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
