    Composition:

Solution 1: solution of hydrogen peroxide 30% - 0.33 g (0.1 g in terms of 100% hydrogen peroxide substance), purified water - up to 1.0 liter.

    Solution 2: benzoic acid 0.5 g mannitol 3.6 g, disodium edetate (disodium ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid) 0.04 g, purified water 1.0 l.

Description:both solutions (1 and 2) - colorless, clear liquids, odorless.
    Pharmacotherapeutic group:An antiparksonic remedy
    ATX: & nbsp

    D.08.A.X.01   Hydrogen Peroxide

    Pharmacodynamics:
Antiparkinsonian means of reflex action. The main active ingredient is low-dose hydrogen peroxide. Acts primarily on the receptors of the vomeronasal organ located in the nasal cavity. These receptors have direct anatomical and functional connections with the intermediate brain and basal ganglia, the neuro-chemical changes in which have a direct and indirect effect on the onset and development of Parkinson's disease, as well as some other lesions of the extrapyramidal system of the brain.
Applied in the nasal cavity receptor region, hydrogen peroxide reflexively induces endogenous mechanisms of MAO inhibition, mainly MAO-B basal ganglia. In addition, one of the mechanisms of action is associated with the activation of dopamine receptors (the result of inhibition of the lactotropic function of the adenohypophysis). Simultaneously, endogenous mechanisms of MAO-A inhibition of the hypothalamus are induced, which can be associated with antidepressant effects of the drug.
Under the influence of the drug, tremor, stiffness, propulsion during walking, greasiness of the skin and facial masculinity, monotony of speech, increases, the possibility of household self-service decreases.
Hydrogen peroxide does not exert a systemic effect in the administered concentration.

Pharmacokinetics:Within a few microseconds after application, hydrogen peroxide is destroyed by the catalase contained in the nasal mucus, to form water and molecular oxygen.
Indications:In the complex therapy of parkinsonism of various genesis (mainly a trembling form).
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity, renal failure.

Carefully:Severe heart failure, hemorrhagic stroke, thrombophlebitis.
    Dosing and Administration:

Intranasally. The spray is injected 2 times into each nostril, with an interval between injections of 10-15 seconds 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and evening), regardless of food intake and nasopharyngeal conditions (runny nose is not a contraindication for injection).

The course of treatment lasts from 4-5 weeks to 3-4 months or more (with positive dynamics). Between courses, breaks in treatment are possible up to 2-3 weeks.

Method of preparation of medicinal solution.

    A) for the plastic bottle with the dropper cap (Solution 1) - see the drawing, Steps 1-5: unscrew the protective cap [1], unscrew and remove the lid of the glass bottle with Solution 2 [2], insert the dropper tip into the glass bottle, press on the side walls of the plastic vial and squeeze all the contents into Solution 2 [3]. On the glass bottle screw the cork-pump, gently shake the vial to mix the liquid, holding the wide rim of the pump-stopper with your fingers, remove the protective cap [4]. Direct the vial with Solution 2 vertically upwards and 3-5 times sharply push the rim to test the discharge of the solution into the air (this is necessary to fill the spray head with a solution) [5]. The drug is ready for use.

    B) for polyethylene tube-dropper (Solution 1): screw the protective cap to the stop to get a drip hole. Insert the tip into the previously opened glass vial with Solution 2. For the remaining procedures, see item A and figure.

    B) for the dropper (Solution 1): remove the protective cap from the dropper head, cut off the tip of the dropper with scissors and insert the tip into the previously opened glass bottle with Solution 2. For the remaining procedures, see point A and figure.

    Side effects:

    Transient headache, rhinitis.

    Interaction:

Compatible with most antiparkinsonian drugs. The combination with irreversible MAO-B inhibitors (seleghinin and its derivatives) is not recommended. Reduces the effectiveness of phenobarbital.

    Special instructions:

The drug is less effective in the akinetic and rigid form of Parkinson's syndrome. Long-term use allows you to reduce the dose of the main antiparkinsonian drug, until its cancellation.

    Form release / dosage:

    Spray nasal.

Packaging:1 ml of solution 1 in a polyethylene dropper or in a plastic bottle with a dropper or dropper. 29 ml of solution 2 in a vial of dark glass.Tube-dropper (or a plastic bottle with a lid-dropper or l dropper), glass bottle, cork-pump in a package of polyethylene film, instructions for use are packed in a pack of cardboard or chrome-ersatz.
    Storage conditions:

Store in a dark place at a temperature of 12-15 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:
