    Composition:

    Active substance:

    Hydrogen peroxide - from 7.5 to 11 g

    depending on the actual hydrogen content of the peroxide in the starting substance is equivalent to the hydrogen peroxide content of 3 g (30 to 40%)

    Excipients:

    Sodium benzoate 0.05 g

    Purified water - up to 100 ml

    Colorless transparent liquid, odorless.

    Pharmacotherapeutic group:Antiseptic.

    D.08.A.X.01   Hydrogen Peroxide

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Antiseptic from the group of antioxidants. Upon contact of hydrogen peroxide with damaged skin or mucous membranes, an active oxygen, with the mechanical purification and inactivation of organic substances (proteins, blood, pus). Antiseptic action is not sterilizing, with its use there is only a temporary decrease in the number of microorganisms.Abundant foaming contributes to thrombosis and stop bleeding from small vessels.

    Indications:

    Inflammatory diseases of the mucous membranes, purulent wounds, capillary bleeding from superficial wounds, nasal bleeding.

    For disinfection and deodorization: stomatitis, tonsillitis, tonsillitis, gynecological diseases.

    Contraindications:hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
    Carefully:

    Decompensated diseases of the liver and kidneys, hyperthyroidism, herpetiform dermatitis.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The drug has no contraindications for use during pregnancy and lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    For external use, use 1-3% solution, for rinsing the mouth and throat, applying to the mucous membranes - 0.25% solution (3% solution diluted with water in a ratio of 1:11).

    Damaged areas of the skin or mucous membrane are treated with a cotton or gauze pad moistened with the drug solution. Tampons should be held with tweezers. Irrigation of the wound surface is possible.

    Side effects:

    Burning at the time of wound treatment, allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: irritation of the upper respiratory tract (burn, laryngo- bronchospasm); when ingested - irritation of the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, hemolysis, hemoglobinuria; lethal dose - about 3 g.

    Treatment: gastric lavage with 0.5% sodium thiosulfate solution, sodium bicarbonate solutions, intravenously sodium thiosulfate 30% to 300 ml.

    Interaction:

    The solution of hydrogen peroxide is unstable in alkaline medium, in the presence of metal salts, complex radicals of some oxidants, as well as in light and in heat.

    Special instructions:

    It is not recommended to use the drug for occlusive dressings.

    Avoid contact with eyes!

    Do not apply to irrigation cavities!

    Treatment of the wound with hydrogen peroxide solution does not guarantee against infection with tetanus and other wound infection.

    3% solution is used inward in toxicological practice as an antidote (in combination with a 3% solution of acetic acid) when potassium is poisoned with permanganate.

    Solution for local and external use 3%.

    Packaging:

    To 40, 100 ml in bottles of glass or in bottles-droppers made of glass with a screw mouth, sealed with plastic caps and caps screwed or lids with gaskets

    For 40 ml, 100 ml in bottles for medicines made of high or low pressure polyethylene, sealed with screwed plastic caps with gaskets or with a special nozzle.

    Each vial, a dropper, along with instructions for use, is placed in a pack of cardboard.

    Glass bottles of 40 ml and 100 ml are allowed together with an equal number of instructions for use packed in cardboard boxes with septa or corrugated cardboard.

    Vials of 40 ml and 100 ml of polyethylene are allowed together with an equal number of instructions to be packed in film with a polyethylene shrink or in cardboard boxes.

    For 500 ml, 1000 ml in bottles made with screwed plastic caps with gaskets (for hospital).

    For 12 bottles of 500 ml, 8 bottles of 1000 ml, along with an equal number of instructions for use, are wrapped in a plastic wrap or in boxes of corrugated cardboard (for inpatient).

    Storage conditions:

    In the dark place at a temperature of no higher than 25 0 FROM.

    Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

    2 years.

    Do not use the product after the expiration date printed on the package.
