Water for injection - instructions for use, dose, side effects, contraindications

Water for injection does not have pharmacological activity. Solvent used for the preparation of infusion and injection solutions, providing optimal conditions for the compatibility and effectiveness of substrates and water.

Pharmacokinetics:

With the introduction of constantly alternating water and electrolytes, homeostasis is maintained by the kidneys.

Indications:

Dissolution and dilution of drugs for their parenteral (injectable / infusion) administration immediately before use. It is used for the preparation of sterile infusion and injection solutions from powders, lyophilizates and concentrates.

Contraindications:

Do not use to dissolve and dilute drugs for which a different solvent is indicated as mandatory.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The drug is not contraindicated for use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Dosing and Administration:

The method of administration, dosage and rate of administration are determined by the instruction for the use of dissolving / diluting drugs in each specific case. Preparation of solutions of medicinal preparations with water for injection is carried out in aseptic conditions (opening of ampoules, filling of syringe and containers with medicinal preparations).

Side effects:

There is no information on the side effect.

Overdose:

After the introduction of large volumes of hypotonic solutions, in which a solvent / diluent was used water for injection, hemolysis may develop.

The signs and symptoms of an overdose will also be related to the properties of the diluted / diluted drug. In case of an accidental overdose, treatment should be stopped and the patient should be examined for signs and symptoms,associated with the administration of a diluted / diluted drug.

Interaction:

When mixed with other drugs, visual compatibility testing is required (there may be a pharmaceutical incompatibility).

Do not mix with water oily solutions for injection, external means for cauterization. Drugs, the concentration of which should be within certain limits, is diluted with water for injection only within the specified limits. Special control over the amount of injectable solutions prepared with water for injection is required in newborns and young children, who even with the introduction of small volumes may have violations of the water-electrolyte balance.

The use of the drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities,requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (vehicle management, work with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work).

Packaging:

1 ml, 2 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml into polymer ampoules.

For 4, 5, 8, 10, 16 ampoules of polymeric together with instructions for use are placed in a pack.

100 ampoules of polymer, together with 100 instructions for use, are packed in carton boxes or boxes of corrugated cardboard (for inpatient).

Storage conditions:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 15 ° C.

Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life:

3 years.

Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
