    Pharmacodynamics:Complexing agent, has detoxification effect. The active sulfhydryl groups of unithiol, reacting with thiol poisons (arsenic compounds, heavy metal salts) and forming with them nontoxic, water-soluble compounds, restore the functions of the enzyme systems of the organism affected by the poison.With diabetic polyneuropathy reduces pain syndrome, improves the condition of the peripheral nervous system and normalizes the permeability of capillaries.
    Pharmacokinetics:

    When parenteral administration is rapidly absorbed into the blood. The maximum level of the drug in the blood (CmOh) is achieved after 15-30 minutes after an / m injection. Half-life (T1/2) -1-2 hours Excreted by the kidneys, mainly as products of incomplete and complete oxidation, partially in an unchanged form.

    Indications:Intoxication with arsenic, mercury, bismuth, chromium, cardiac glycosides, hepatocerebral dystrophy (Wilson-Konovalov's disease), diabetic polyneuropathy, chronic alcoholism (as part of complex therapy), delirium,
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug, liver failure; arterial hypertension.
    Dosing and Administration:
    Intramuscularly, subcutaneously. In case of arsenic intoxication - 5-10 ml of the drug (at the rate of 0.005 g / 1 kg), on the first day - 3-4 times, on the second day - 2-3 times, in the subsequent - 1-2 times. When poisoning with mercury compounds - according to the same scheme for 6-7 days. Treatment is carried out until the signs of intoxication disappear.
    With digitalis intoxication, in the first 2 days 5-10 ml of 5% aqueous solution is administered 3-4 times a day, then 1-2 times a day until the cardiotoxic effect stops. With hepatocerebral dystrophy - in / m 5-10 ml of 5% solution daily or every other day; course of treatment - 25-30 injections; if necessary, repeat after 3-4 months. With chronic alcoholism prescribe 3-5 ml 2-3 times a week. For relief of delirium-one-time 4-5 ml of solution.
    Side effects:
    Nausea, dizziness, tachycardia, pale skin.
