    Composition:

    100 g of gel contains:

    active substance: ketoprofen lysine salt (in terms of ketoprofen) 2.50 g (1.60 g);

    Excipients: macrogol-200 5.00 g, methyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.15 g, propyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.05 g, carbomer 1.50 g, trolamine 2.50 g, water purified to 100 g.

    Description:

    Transparent or slightly opalescent from colorless to light yellow color gel.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    The mechanism of action of the drug is associated with the inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins. Ketoprofen has anti-inflammatory, antiexudative and analgesic effect. In the form of a gel provides a local treatment of affected joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles. With articular syndrome, weakening of pain in joints at rest and during movement, reduction of morning stiffness and swelling of the joints.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Ketoprofen lysine salt penetrates well through the skin and has a quick local anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.Bioavailability of the gel is about 5%. Do not cum in the body.

    Indications:

    - Acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system: back pain, low back pain, sciatica, sciatica, lumbago, neuralgia, rheumatoid arthritis, articular syndrome in exacerbation of gout, spondylitis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, synovitis;

    - muscular pain of rheumatic and non-rheumatic origin;

    - injuries of the musculoskeletal system, including those associated with the athletic exercises: muscle pain, damage to ligaments and tendons, tendonitis, bruises and sprains, post-traumatic pain.

    Contraindications:

    - Individual hypersensitivity to ketoprofen and / or other components of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs (indicating a history of bronchospasm, urticaria and rhinitis caused by the intake of acetylsalicylic acid);

    - moist dermatitis, eczema, infected abrasions, wounds, burns;

    - pregnancy (III trimester);

    - lactation period;

    - Children's age (up to 15 years).

    Carefully:

    Erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract; expressed violations of kidney and liver function, chronic heart failure,bronchial asthma, pregnancy I-II trimester, hepatic porphyria.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly.

    A small amount of gel (3-5 cm) 2-3 times a day to apply to the skin in an inflamed or painful place and easy to rub.

    Pet needs to apply dry bandages, because the gel is well absorbed through the skin, does not contain colorants, does not leave greasy stains, does not stain clothing. Can be used in phonophoresis.

    The duration of the course of treatment should not exceed 14 days without consulting a doctor.

    Side effects:

    Local Reactions: allergic dermatitis, eczema, skin hyperemia, photodermatitis, bullous dermatitis, exanthema, purpura.

    Systemic reactions: urticaria, generalized skin rash, swelling, photosensitivity, stomatitis.

    If any side effects occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

    Overdose:

    Extremely low systemic absorption of active components of the drug with external application makes an overdose almost impossible.

    In case of accidental ingestion of large amounts of gel (more than 20 g), systemic undesirable reactions characteristic of NSAIDs are possible.It is necessary to wash the stomach, taking activated charcoal.

    Interaction:

    With external application of ketoprofen in the form of a gel, medicinal and other interactions are not established, however, you should consult a physician before applying the gel if you are taking other medications.

    Special instructions:

    Avoid contact with the mucous membranes and eyes.

    Do not use on damaged skin.

    After applying, do not apply an occlusive dressing.
