    N.06.D.X.02   Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Vegetable preparation increases the body's resistance to hypoxia, especially brain tissue, inhibits the development of traumatic or toxic edema of the brain, improves cerebral and peripheral blood circulation, improves blood rheology.

    Has a dose-dependent regulatory effect on the vascular system, dilates the small arteries, increases the tone of the veins. Prevents formation of free radicals and peroxide oxidation of cell membrane lipids.Normalizes the release, reabsorption and catabolism of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine, dopamine, acetylcholine) and their ability to combine with receptors. Improves metabolism in organs and tissues, promotes the accumulation of macroerges in the cells, increased utilization of oxygen and glucose, normalization of mediator processes in the central nervous system.

    Indications:
    • Violations of the brain, including age-related disorders of cerebral circulation, accompanied by the following symptoms: memory impairment, decreased ability to concentrate and intellectual abilities, dizziness, tinnitus, headache.
    • Disorders of peripheral circulation: obliterating diseases of arteries of the lower extremities with such characteristic symptoms as intermittent claudication, numbness and cold snap, Raynaud's disease.
    • Violations of the inner ear, manifested by dizziness, unstable gait and noise in the ears.
    Contraindications:
    Hypersensitivity to components preparation; lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose insufficiency; reduced blood clotting, erosive gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the stage of exacerbation; acute disorders of cerebral circulation, acute myocardial infarction; children under 18 years of age, due to insufficient data on the use of the drug in this age group.

    Pregnancy and lactation:
    Due to the lack of sufficient clinical data, the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.
    Dosing and Administration:

    If the doctor did not recommend another dosing regimen, follow the following recommendations for taking the drug Memoplant:

    1 tablet 1-2 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the symptoms and should last at least 8 weeks.

    After treatment within 3 months, in case of absence of results it is necessary to check up expediency of the further treatment.

    The tablets covered with a cover, it is necessary to accept inside not chewing, squeezed a small amount of a liquid, irrespective of food intake.

    If the drug was missed or insufficient amount was taken,The subsequent reception should be carried out as specified in this manual without any modification.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible (redness, swelling of the skin, itching), in rare cases, gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), headache, decreased blood clotting, hearing impairment, dizziness.

    Single cases of bleeding were observed in patients who simultaneously took funds that reduced blood coagulability; the causal relationship of these bleedings with the administration of Ginkgo preparations of bilobate EGb 761® is not confirmed. In case of occurrence of any undesirable phenomena, reception of a preparation should be stopped and address to the attending physician.

    Overdose:

    Cases of drug overdose have not been registered to date. Memoplant has good tolerability.

    Interaction:

    It is not recommended to apply the drug Memoplant to patients who constantly take acetylsalicylic acid, anticoagulants (direct and indirect action), as well as drugs, reducing blood clotting.

    It is not recommended simultaneous use of drugs ginkgo biloba with efavirenz, since it is possible to reduce its concentration in blood plasma due to the induction of cytochrome CYP3A4 under the influence of ginkgo biloba.

    Special instructions:

    Before starting treatment with Ginkgo extract of bilabial EGb 761®, it is necessary to consult on existing concomitant diseases and to find out whether pathological symptoms are associated with these diseases. Attention! All regulations must be strictly observed!

    With frequent feelings of dizziness and noise in the ears, you should consult a doctor. In case of sudden deterioration or loss of hearing, you should immediately consult a doctor. Against the background of the use of Ginkgo drugs bilobate, in patients suffering from epilepsy, there may be epileptic seizures.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:
    During the period of taking the drug, care should be taken when carrying out potentially dangerous activities that require an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (vehicle management, work with moving mechanisms).

    Tablets, film-coated 120 mg.

    Packaging:By 10, 15, 20 tablets in a foil blister of aluminum and PVC / PVDC film; 1, 2, 3 or 5 blisters are placed together with instructions for use in a cardboard pack.
