Pharmacodynamics:

Flavonoid (derivative of routine), has P-vitamin activity; has venotonic, angioprotective, anti-edematous, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

It participates in oxidation-reduction processes, blocks hyaluronidase, stabilizes hyaluronic acid of cell membranes and reduces the permeability and fragility of capillaries, increases their tone. Increases the density of the vascular wall, reduces exudation of the liquid part of the plasma and diapedesis of blood cells.

Reduces inflammation in the vascular wall, limiting the adhesion to its surface of platelets. Patients with chronic venous insufficiency are recommended to use both in the initial and late stages of the disease. In conditions characterized by increased vascular permeability (including scarlet fever, influenza, measles, allergic reactions), it is used in combination with ascorbic acid to enhance its effect.Non-toxic, has a large breadth of therapeutic effect.

Pharmacokinetics:

When gel is applied to the skin, the active component of the gel quickly penetrates the epidermis, after 30 minutes it is found in the dermis, and after 2-5 hours in the subcutaneous fatty tissue.

Indications:

Varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, accompanied by swelling, pain, sensation of heaviness in the legs; thrombophlebitis, periphlebitis, varicose dermatitis, pain and swelling after injuries (bruises, ligament injuries).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, damage to the integrity of the skin, children under 15 years.

Carefully:

Renal failure (prolonged use).

Pregnancy and lactation:

Reception of the drug Troxerutin contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy. The drug can be used in the second and third trimester of pregnancy, as well as during lactation.

Dosing and Administration:

Outer: the gel is applied evenly in a thin layer in the morning and evening on the skin above the painful patch and gently massaged until completely absorbed. The dose of the drug depends on the area of the damaged surface, but should not exceed 3-4 cm of gel (1.5-2 g).The gel can be applied under the occlusive dressing.

Side effects:In some cases, allergic reactions are possible (skin rash).

Interaction:

There is no evidence of unfavorable interaction of troxerutin in the form of a gel with other drugs.

Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:Negative effect of the drug on the performance of potentially hazardous activities requiring special attention and quick reactions (driving, other vehicles, working with driving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work, etc.) was not observed.
