Combined drug containing a complex of vitamins with pronounced antioxidant activity. The active components of Vetoron® for children are an important part of the enzymatic systems involved in the basic metabolic processes.
Betacarotene is a natural retinol-like substance from the carotenoid group. Due to the pronounced antioxidant action it protects the cells from damage by active oxygen and prevents the damaging effect of free radicals. It protects macromolecules and biomembranes of the cell from damage, thereby ensuring an increase in the resistance of the organism to various pathogenic effects. Participates in the process of normal renewal of epithelial tissues. It protects the skin from the harmful effects of UV rays, has an anti-xerophthalmic effect, has a normalizing effect on the formation and function of epithelial tissues, increases their resistance to infections.
Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol acetate) along with other vitamins included in the preparation, is an antioxidant. It binds free radicals, prevents formation of peroxide compounds, damaging cell and subcellular membranes. It inhibits the peroxidation of unsaturated fatty acids, prevents the hemolysis of red blood cells. It restores capillary circulation, normalizes capillary and tissue permeability, increases tissue resistance to hypoxia. It is necessary for the development of the body, the normal function of the nervous and muscular systems.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) has a metabolic effect. Participates in the regulation of oxidation-reduction processes, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulation, normal capillary permeability, the formation of steroid hormones, the synthesis of collagen and procollagen. Increases the body's resistance to infections. Participates in many biochemical and immune reactions, improves the utilization of glucose, tissue regeneration, takes part in the metabolism of lipids, proteins, carnitine, folic acid,as well as other pharmacologically active substances. It has antiplatelet and antioxidant properties.
