Indications:

Used in adults and children as an expectorant for diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by cough, mainly in the presence of poorly separated, thick and viscous secretion (especially in children and the elderly).

Contraindications:

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnancy, lactation, bronchial asthma, gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenal ulcer during the exacerbation.Deficiency of sugar / isomaltase, intolerance to fructose, glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Carefully:

With caution: liver disease, alcoholism, craniocerebral trauma, brain disease, diabetes, children's age.

Dosing and Administration:

Inside the adult one teaspoon, previously diluted in 1/2 glasses of water, 3 times a day. Children under 2 years - 1-2 drops (previously diluted in 1 teaspoon of water) 3 times a day;

Children from 2 to 6 years - 2-10 drops (previously diluted in 1 teaspoon of water) 3 times a day;

Children from 6 to 12 years - 50 drops (previously diluted in U2 glass of water) 3 times a day; Children over 12 years - 1 teaspoon (previously diluted in 1 teaspoon of water) 3 times a day;

Allergic reactions are possible; in some cases, there may be dyspepsia (diarrhea). With prolonged use, hypokalemia, increased arterial pressure, the appearance of peripheral edema due to disturbed water electrolyte metabolism are possible.

Overdose:

When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended dose, it is possible to increase dose-related side effects.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Interaction:

The drug can be administered concomitantly with other drugs used in the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases.

Do not use simultaneously with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive medicines, as this makes it difficult to cough up thinned phlegm.

The maximum single dose of the drug for adults contains 0.43 grams of absolute alcohol, the maximum daily dose is 1.4 grams of absolute alcohol, in 1 drop (for children) - 0.019 grams of absolute alcohol.
