    Pharmacodynamics:Means for restoring the acid-base state of blood and correcting metabolic acidosis. In the association of sodium bicarbonate, a bicarbonate anion that bonds ionic hydrogen to form a carboxylic acid is released,which then decomposes into water and exhaled carbon dioxide. As a result, the pH of the blood shifts to the alkaline side, the buffer capacity of the blood increases. The drug also increases excretion from the body mats sodium and chlorine, increases osmotic diuresis, alkalinizes urine, prevent precipitation of uric acid salts in the urinary system. Inside the cells with bicarbonates, the anion does not penetrate.
    Indications:

    Uncompensated metabolic acidosis in various diseases, such as intoxications of various etymology, extensive burns, shock, diabetic coma, prolonged diarrhea, indomitable vomiting, sharp massive blood loss, severe liver and kidney damage, prolonged febrile condition, severe hypoxia of newborns, postoperative period.

    Absolute indication is a decrease in blood pH below 7.2 (the rate of 7.37 - 7.42).
    Contraindications:Metabolic alkalosis, hypersensitivity, hypokalemia, hypernatremia.
    Carefully:Pregnancy, lactation.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Intravenously drip. Depending on the severity of acidosis apply undiluted or diluted in a 0.9% solution of sodium chloride or 5% glucose solution).

    Adults with 50-100 ml of 5% solution. Children, depending on their age and body weight - from 3 to 8 ml / kg (2-5 mEq / kg), the dose is administered within 4-8 hours.

    For children under 2 years - the maximum dose of 13 ml (8 mEq) per kg of body weight per day. It is necessary to control the acid-base state of the blood.

    Side effects:Nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain, headache, anxiety, increased blood pressure.
    Overdose:

    When the dose is exceeded, development of decompensated alkalosis, tetanic convulsions is possible.

    With the development of alkalosis, stop the injection of the drug, with the risk of developing seizures, intravenously calcium gluconate.

    Interaction:In a solution of sodium bicarbonate it is impossible to dissolve acidic substances (ascorbic, nicotinic and other acids), alkaloids (atropine, apomorphine, caffeine, theobromine, papaverine and others), cardiac glycosides, salts of calcium, magnesium, heavy metals (iron, copper, zinc), t. precipitation occurs, or hydrolysis of organic compounds. Do not mix with phosphate-containing solutions. May enhance the effect of antihypertensive drugs.
    Special instructions:When using the drug, it is necessary to control the acid-base state of the blood. In patients with concomitant diseases of the heart or kidneys, heart failure and edema can develop.

    200 or 400 ml in glass bottles for blood, transfusion and infusion preparations, corked with rubber stoppers and crimped with aluminum caps.

    Each bottle, together with instructions for use, is placed in a pack of cardboard.

    24, 28 bottles of 200 ml or 12, 15 bottles of 400 ml with instructions for use in an amount equal to the number of bottles placed in boxes of corrugated cardboard with gaskets and grills (for hospitals).
