Pharmacodynamics:

The tincture of valerian has a moderately pronounced sedative effect. The active principle of the preparation is borneol ester and isovaleric acid, free valeric acid. Sedation is slow, but fairly stable. Facilitates the onset of natural sleep. In addition, the drug has an antispasmodic effect on smooth musculature of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract, has a cholagogic effect, increases the secretion of the glands of the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications:

Increased nervous excitability, insomnia; in the complex therapy - functional disorders of the cardiovascular system, spasms of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children's age (up to 1 year).

Carefully:

Chronic enterocolitis, liver disease, alcoholism, craniocerebral trauma, brain diseases, children's age from 1 year.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The use of the drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Dosing and Administration:

Apply inside, before eating, bred in a small amount of water. Adults 20-30 drops per reception 3-4 times a day, children - 1 drop for each year of life 1-3 times a day. The course of treatment is up to 4 weeks. Repeated courses of treatment are possible after consultation with the doctor.

Side effects:

Possible lethargy, weakness, drowsiness, depression, decreased performance (especially when used in high doses), with prolonged use - constipation.

In some cases, the development of allergic reactions is possible.

Overdose:

With prolonged use of the drug in doses exceeding the recommended dose, it is possible to increase dose-dependent side effects.

Treatment - symptomatic.

Interaction:

The drug enhances the effect of hypnotics, sedatives and other drugs that depress the central nervous system, as well as antispasmodics.

Special instructions:

The content of absolute ethyl alcohol in the maximum single dose of the drug for adults is 0.32 g, in the maximum daily dose of the drug for adults - 1.3 g.

In one drop of the drug contains 0.01 g of absolute ethyl alcohol.

Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

During the period of treatment, care must be taken when driving vehicles and engaging in other potentially hazardous activities requiring increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

To 25 ml in a tube-dropper with a screw mouth of polyethylene. The tube-dropper is capped with screw caps made of polymeric materials.

To 25 ml in bottles of dark glass with a screw mouth, sealed with stoppers, droppers, polyethylene and caps screwed from polymeric materials.

Tube-dropper or bottle with instruction for use is placed in a pack of cardboard.

Storage conditions:
