    Description:

    Mixture of slices of flower-bud, ligule flowers, tubular flowers, leaves of the wrapper and their fragments, peduncles, occasionally pieces of unripe fruit greenish-yellow with interspersed greyish-green, reddish-orange, orange, light yellow, green, tan and brown , passing through a sieve with holes of 5 mm in size. The color of the ligulate flowers is reddish-orange, orange, bright yellow or pale yellow; tubular flowers - orange, light yellow, yellow; leaflets of the wrapping - grayish-green; unripe fruit - green, greyish-green, tan and brown; the flower-toner is light gray, greenish-brownish-gray. The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is brackish-bitter.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Marigold flowers contain carotenoids, flavonoids, triterpene saponins, resins, mucous substances, tannins, essential oil, organic acids, ascorbic acid, macro and microelements and other biologically active substances.

    Infusion of marigolds has a local anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and choleretic effect.

    Indications:

    Local infusion of marigold flowers is used to rinse the throat with inflammatory diseases of the pharynx (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis) and the oral mucosa (stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis).

    Inside, adults are used as a cholagogue for chronic gastritis, cholecystitis, cholangitis.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, when administered orally - children's age (under 18 years), acute gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenal ulcer during an exacerbation, calculous cholecystitis.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Application during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and the baby. Consultation of the doctor is necessary.

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 g (5 tablespoons) of marigold flowers are placed in enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of boiling water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is brought to boiling water to 200 ml.

    For rinsing of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and throat, 1/2 to 1 glass of infusion 3-5 times a day in a warm form is used.

    Inside take 1-2 tablespoons 2-3 times a day before meals. Duration of treatment is 3-4 weeks, if necessary - 6 weeks.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible. When taken orally, there may be bitterness in the mouth, a burning sensation in the epigastric region, and a pain in the abdomen.

    Overdose:Cases of overdose have not been registered to date.
