Whole, cleaned from sepals and stems, false fruits of various shapes: from spherical, ovate or oval to strongly elongated spindle-shaped; length of fruit 0.7 - 3 cm.the size of 0,6 -1,7 cm. At the top of the fruit there is a small round hole or pentagonal platform. Fruits consist of overgrown fleshy, with ripening of succulent flower-bud (gepantium) and imprisoned in its cavity of numerous fruit-nuts. The walls of the dried fruit are hard, brittle, the outer surface is shiny, less often matte, more or less wrinkled. Inside the fruit are abundantly lined with long, very stiff bristly hairs. Nuts are small, oblong, with slightly pronounced facets.
Color of fruits from orange-red to brownish-red, nuts are light yellow, sometimes brownish. The smell is absent. The taste of water extract is sour-sweet, slightly astringent.
