    Pharmacodynamics:

    Rosehip fruits contain organic acids, flavonoids, carotenoids, pectin and tannins, vitamins of group B, R, K, C.

    Has a restorative effect, stimulates nonspecific resistance of the organism, enhances tissue regeneration, reduces vascular permeability, takes part in carbohydrate and mineral metabolism, and has anti-inflammatory properties. Has immunostimulating (in respect of humoral and cellular immunity) and choleretic action (due to the presence of organic acids and flavonoids).

    Indications:

    Hypovitaminosis C and P (treatment and prevention); asthenia, immunodeficiency states.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, in the warm form of adults - 50-100 ml (1 / 4-1 / 2 cup) 2-3 times a day for medicinal purposes, once a day - in preventive; for children 30-50 ml each. The course of treatment is 15-30 days.

    To prepare the infusion of whole or chopped fruits, 8-10 g of fruit (1 tablespoon) or 4 g of powder are placed in a glass or enamel ware, filled with 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes . It is cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Syrup: adults - 1-2 tablespoons 2-3 times a day, children 2-3 years - 1/2 teaspoon, 3-6 years - 1 teaspoon, 6-12 years - 1 dessert spoon 2 -3 times a day, respectively.

    Syrup [for children]: 2.5-10 ml (depending on age) 2-3 times a day, with water.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    To date, cases of overdose have not been reported. Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Due to the presence of ascorbic acid in the preparation, it is possible to increase the absorption of penicillin group preparations,tetracycline and iron; decrease in the clinical effect of heparin and indirect anticoagulants; increased risk of developing crystalluria in the treatment of salicylates and sulfonamides; retardation of excretion of acids, including acetylsalicylic acid, by the kidneys; increase the excretion of drugs that have an alkaline reaction, including alkaloids; decrease in the concentration in the blood of oral contraceptives.

    Special instructions:

    Syrups: the maximum single dose for adults contains 2.2 bread units (XE); in the maximum daily intake for adults - 6.6 XE.
