Whole, cleared of sepals and stems, false fruit of a variety of forms: fromspherical, ovate or oval to a very elongated spindle-shaped; length of fruit - 0,7-3 cm, size - 0,6-1,7 cm. At the top of the fruit there is a small round hole or pentagonal platform. The color of the fruit is from orange-red to brownish red. The smell is absent. The taste of water extract is sour-sweet, slightly astringent.

Pharmacodynamics:

Infusion of dog rose fruit helps to increase nonspecific resistance of the body, increase tissue regeneration and synthesis of hormones, reduce vascular permeability, normalize carbohydrate metabolism.

Indications:

For the prevention of hypovitaminosis C and P. In the complex therapy of acute and chronic infectious diseases, asthenic conditions, during recovery from severe diseases, surgical operations.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug, cholelithiasis.

Dosing and Administration:

About 10 g (1 tablespoon) of fruit are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes,cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material was squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water. Is taken orally in a warm form after a meal: adults and children over 12 years - 1/2 cup 2 times a day, children from 6 to 12 years - 1/4 cup 2 times a day; from 3 to 5 years - 2 tablespoons 2 times a day; from 1 year to 2 years - 1 tablespoon 2 times a day; children from 6 months to 1 year - 1-2 teaspoons a day.
