Analeptic agent of mixed action. The mechanism of action is composed of central and peripheral effects on the nervous system. The central mechanism is associated with a direct influence on the vasomotor center of the medulla oblongata, leading to its excitation and mediated increase in blood pressure (especially when the center is initially oppressed).

Peripheral effect is due to excitation of carotid sinore chemoreceptors, which leads to an increase in the frequency and depth of respiratory movements. Direct influence on the cardiovascular system does not.

Pharmacokinetics:Absorption is high and does not depend on the route of administration. It is subject to rapid metabolism in the liver with the formation of inactive metabolites, derived mainly by the kidneys.

Indications:

Collapse, asphyxia (including newborns), shock conditions, respiratory depression and blood circulation in infectious diseases, poisoning with sleeping pills, narcotic analgesics, barbiturates.

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity; reduction of the convulsive threshold, epilepsy (including in the anamnesis), hyperthermia in children, pregnancy,lactation period.

Pregnancy and lactation:Contraindicated.

Dosing and Administration:

Higher doses for adults subcutaneously: single - 2 ml, daily - 6 ml. The highest single dose for subcutaneous and intravenous administration for drug poisoning is 5 ml.

Side effects:Anxiety, muscle contractions (beginning with the circular muscles of the mouth), face hyperemia, itching of the skin, vomiting, arrhythmia, infiltration and soreness at the injection site, allergyreactions.

Overdose:Symptoms: increased severity of side effects, tonic-clonic convulsions. Treatment: symptomatic.

Interaction:

Strengthens the effects of psychostimulants, antidepressants.

Reduces the effects of narcotic analgesics, hypnotics, antipsychotic and antiepileptic drugs, anxiolytics.

Reduces the effectiveness of niketamide: para-aminosalicylic acid, opiniazide, phenothiazine derivatives and drugs for general anesthesia.

Convulsive effect of the drug strengthens reserpine.

Form release / dosage:

Solution for injection 250 mg / ml.

Packaging:

1 ml or 2 ml into neutral glass ampoules.

10 ampoules together with the instruction for use, with a knife ampoule or scarifier ampullum is placed in a box of cardboard.

1-2 contour packs of 5 ampoules with instructions for use, with a ampoule knife or a scarifier ampullum are placed in a pack of cardboard.
