    Pharmacodynamics:

    The main active substance is hypericin. Inhibits the activity of monoamine oxidase A-type and to a lesser extent B-type, due to which it has an anxiolytic effect. Binds benzodiazepine receptors, providing a sedative effect. Inhibits the reuptake of serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine, which has an antidepressant effect.

    Improves mood, normalizes sleep, increases physical and mental performance.

    Indications:

    Applies to sleep disorders, anxiety, depression. Used in the complex therapy of endogenous depressions, with diseases of the stomach and intestines, lungs, gall bladder.It is used as an external remedy for muscle and joint pains, hemorrhages, herpes, for the purpose of disinfecting wounds.

    Contraindications:

    Simultaneous reception with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, indinavir, cyclosporine and other protease inhibitors, photodermatitis, age 12 years, pregnancy and lactation, individual intolerance.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, 40-50 drops of tincture 3-4 times a day; for rinses - for 40-50 drops for half a glass of water.

    Strengthens the antidepressant effect of monoamine oxidase inhibitors, photosensitizing effects of thiazide diuretics, tetracyclines, sulfonamides, piroxicam, quinolones.

    Simultaneous use with paroxetine, fluoxetine, sertraline, fluvoxamine or citalopram aggravates hemolytic reactions and the course of "serotonin syndrome" (dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, anxiety, anxiety, confusion, confusion, anxiety and irritability).

    Lengthens sleep, induced by taking medications for general anesthesia and narcotic analgesics, shortens sleep time caused by barbiturates.

    Reduces the hypotensive effect of reserpine, as well as the concentration in the blood plasma of cyclosporine, indinavir, theophylline.

    Reduces toxicity of digoxin.

    Increases the risk of bleeding with simultaneous use with ethinyl estradiol and desogestrel.
