    St. John's wort is a powder.

    Description:

    Powder: Pieces of stems, leaves, flowers, as well as buds, unripe fruits and their parts, passing through a sieve with holes of 2 mm. Color from greyish-green to dark green and greenish-brown with numerous white, yellowish-white, yellow and brown impregnations. The smell is weak, peculiar. The taste of water extract is bitterish, slightly astringent.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    The herb of St. John's wort contains tannic substances, essential oil, triterpene saponins, vitamins C, E, flavonoids, anthraquinones, macro- and microelements and other biologically active substances.

    Infusion of herb St. John's wort has an astringent, anti-inflammatory effect.

    Indications:

    Inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat (gingivitis, stomatitis, etc.); chronic colitis (as part of complex therapy).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug. When administered orally - children under 12 years of age, pregnancy, lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Powder. 2 filter bags (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion is adjusted to 100 ml.

    Take inside 1/2 glass of infusion 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. For rinses, apply 1/2 cup infusion 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment is 5-10 days.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible. With prolonged use, it can cause unpleasant sensations in the liver and a feeling of bitterness in the mouth, in some cases with ingestion - a photosensitizing effect (increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight).

    Interaction:

    With the combined use of St. John's Wort preparations with cyclosporine, warfarin, steroid preparations, antiviral agents - reverse transcriptase inhibitors (amprenavir, indinavir, efavirenz, nevirapine, nelfinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir); inhibitors of the activity of proteolytic enzymes may reduce their effectiveness.

    St. John's Wort Herb Powder 1.5 grams per filter pack.

    Packaging:

    St. John's wort herb powder of 1.5 grams in a filter bag with a subsequent attachment of 10, 20, 24, 30 and 50 pieces together with instructions for use in a cardboard box. It is allowed to put the full text of instructions for use on the pack.

    Storage conditions:

    Store in a dry place protected from light.

    Keep out of the reach of children.

    Infusion - in a cool place no more than 2 days.

    Shelf life:

    3 years.
