    Description:

    Pieces of stems, leaves, flowers, as well as buds, unripe fruits and their parts, passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in size. Color from greyish-green to dark green and greenish-brown with numerous white, yellowish-white, yellow and brown impregnations.

    The smell is weak, peculiar. The taste of water extract is bitterish, slightly astringent.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    St. John's wort contains tannic substances, essential oil, triterpene saponins, vitamins C, E, flavonoids, anthraquinones, macro- and microelements and other biologically active substances.

    The infusion of St. John's wort has an astringent and anti-inflammatory effect.

    Indications:Inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa (including gingivitis, stomatitis); chronic colitis (as part of complex therapy).
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, children under 12 years; at ingestion - pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    3 filter packets (4.5 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist 15 minutes, periodically pressing the filter packs with a spoon, then filter bags are squeezed, the volume The resulting infusion is boiled to 100 ml. Chronic colitis: taken internally in a warm form 1/2 cup 2-3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

    Inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa: in the form of rinses, apply 1/2 cup of warm infusion 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment is 5-10 days. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Interaction with other medicinal products

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible.When ingestion - photosensitizing effect (increased sensitivity of the skin to the action of sunlight). With prolonged use, the drug can cause unpleasant sensations in the liver (in the right upper quadrant) and a feeling of bitterness in the mouth.

    Overdose:

    To date, cases of overdose have not been reported.

    Interaction:

    With the combined use of St. John's wort with warfarin, digoxin, cyclosporine, steroid drugs, antiviral (HIV) agents (amprenavir, indinavir, nevirapine, nelfinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir, efavirenz) may reduce their effectiveness. The drug is able to enhance the photosensitizing effect of other drugs, including piroxicam, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, thiazide diuretics, quinolones.

    Special instructions:

    During treatment, UV radiation should be avoided (including a solarium, UV lamps, prolonged exposure to sunlight).

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    The use of the drug does not affect the performance of potentially hazardous activities requiring an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (motor vehicle management,work with moving mechanisms).

    Form release / dosage:

    Grass powder by 1.5 grams into the filter bags.

    Packaging:

    Grass powder of 1.5 grams in the filter bags, followed by stacking 10 or 20 filter bags with instructions for use in a pack of cardboard.
