    Composition:

    Active substance: ibuprofen 5.0 g.

    Excipients: isopropanol 5.0 g; hyethellosis - 1,8 g; sodium hydroxide - 1.0 g; benzyl alcohol - 1.0 g; water 86.2 g.

    Description:Transparent or slightly opalescent colorless homogeneous gel with a characteristic odor.
    Pharmacotherapeutic group:Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)

    M.01.A.E.01   Ibuprofen

    Pharmacodynamics:The drug belongs to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Non-selectively blocks both cyclooxygenases (COX-1 and COX-2). The mechanism of action is due to the inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins - mediators of pain and inflammation.
    Pharmacokinetics:The drug is used only for topical application. When applied to the skin after 24 hours found in the epidermis and dermis and is about 5% of the concentration of the drug when ingestion. Therapeutic concentration is achieved locally, systemic absorption does not occur.
    Indications:Muscle pain, back pain, arthritis, ligament damage, sprains, sports injuries and neuralgia.
    Contraindications:

    - Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or other components of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs;

    - complete or incomplete combination of bronchial asthma, recurrent nasal polyposis and paranasal sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs (including in history);

    - violation of the integrity of the skin at the site of application (including, infected abrasions and wounds, wet dermatoses, eczema)

    - children's age till 12 years;

    - pregnancy III trimester.

    Carefully:With caution apply the drug with concomitant diseases of the liver or kidneys, gastrointestinal tract; at a bronchial asthma, a urticaria, a rhinitis, polyps of a mucosa of a cavity of a nose, at pregnancy and in the period of feeding by a breast.
    Pregnancy and lactation:With caution appoint the drug during pregnancy (I-II trimesters) and during breastfeeding. In late pregnancy (III trimester), the drug is contraindicated.
    Dosing and Administration:

    For external use only.

    The drug is prescribed for adults and children over 12 years.

    For 4-10 cm of the drug (equivalent to 50 - 125 mg of ibuprofen), apply to the skin over the affected area and gently rub until completely absorbed. Reuse is possible after 4 hours, no more than 4 times within 24 hours.

    If symptoms persist or worsen or there is no improvement after 2 weeks of use, discontinue treatment and seek medical attention.

    After use, wash hands thoroughly.

    Do not exceed the indicated dose.

    Apply in minimally effective doses a minimally short course.

    Side effects:

    Hypersensitivity reactions: nonspecific allergic reactions and anaphylactic reactions, respiratory tract reactions: asthma (including exacerbation), bronchospasm, dyspnea, Quincke's edema, skin reactions at the site of application of the gel: urticaria, rash, skin hyperemia, burning sensation or tingling sensations.

    Disorders from the gastrointestinal tract, with accidental ingestion: abdominal pain, indigestion.

    With prolonged use, it is possible to develop systemic side effects of NSAIDs.

    If side effects occur, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor.

    Overdose:

    Overdose phenomena with external application are not established.

    In case the drug was accidentally taken orally, gastric lavage is recommended (only within an hour after administration), Activated carbon, alkaline drink, forced diuresis, symptomatic therapy.

    Interaction:Drug interaction of the drug ibuprofen in the form of a gel has not been described to date.However, even with external application ibuprofen can have a systemic effect, therefore, theoretically, the simultaneous use of the gel with other NSAIDs may lead to an increase in side effects.
    Special instructions:

    After applying the drug, you should wash your hands thoroughly.

    It is necessary to avoid getting the gel in the eyes and on the lips. Do not apply gel to damaged areas of the skin, as well as to the area around the eyes and lips. Do not use in combination with an occlusive (airtight) medical dressing. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight on the treatment area.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:
    Application of gel Ibuprofen does not have an impact on activities requiring increased attention, coordination of movements, high speed of mental and physical (including drivers of transport, persons servicing cars) reactions.

    Gel for external use 5%.
    Packaging:

    By 20, 30, 50 or 100 g in tubes are aluminum.
