    Composition:

    M.01.A.E.01   Ibuprofen

    Pharmacodynamics:

    The drug has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. Ibuprofen indiscriminately blocks cyclooxygenase 1 and 2 in the central nervous system, affecting the centers of pain and thermoregulation, inhibits the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, mediators of pain and inflammation. Analgesic effect is most pronounced for inflammatory pains. The drug lasts up to 8 hours.

    Ibuprofen shows anti-aggregative activity.

    Pharmacokinetics:Communication with plasma proteins by 90%. Exposed to the systemic and post-systemic metabolism in the liver. After absorption, about 60% of the pharmacologically inactive R-form of ibuprofen is slowly transformed into an active S-form. The isozyme CYP2C9 is involved in the metabolism of the drug. It has a two-phase kinetics of elimination with a half-life of 2-2.5 hours. It is excreted by the kidneys (in an unchanged form not more than 1%) and to a lesser extent - with bile.
    Indications:Ibuprofen for children are used from 2 months of life to 3 years as an antipyretic agent for acute respiratory infections, influenza,childhood infections, post-vaccination reactions and other infectious-inflammatory diseases, accompanied by an increase in body temperature. The drug is used as an anesthetic for pain syndrome of mild or moderate intensity, including: headache and dental pain, migraine, neuralgia, pain in the ears and throat, pain in stretching and other types of pain.
    Contraindications:

    Ibuprofen for children should not be used when:

    - hypersensitivity to ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs, as well as to other components of the drug;

    - bronchial asthma, hives, rhinitis, triggered by the use of acetylsalicylic acid (salicylates) or other NSAIDs;

    - the presence in the child of ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract;

    - active gastrointestinal bleeding;

    - Inflammatory bowel diseases;

    - confirmed hypokalemia;

    - Blood diseases: hypocoagulation, leukopenia, hemophilia;

    renal and / or hepatic insufficiency;

    - Hearing loss.

    Carefully:

    You should consult a doctor before using the drug if the child:

    - takes other pain killers;

    - has a history of: peptic ulcer, gastritis, ulcerative colitis, gastrointestinal bleeding;

    - suffers from liver or kidney disease;

    - in the presence of H.Pylori;

    - takes indirect anticoagulants (oral medications that reduce blood coagulability), drugs for lowering blood pressure, glucocorticosteroids, antiaggregants, diuretics (preparations for enhancing urination), lithium preparations, methotrexate;

    - suffers from bronchial asthma, hives.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Rectally. Read the instructions carefully before using the product.

    Fever (fever) and pain.

    Dosage depends on the age and weight of the child. A single dose is 5-10 mg / kg of the child's body weight 3-4 times a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 30 mg / kg of the child's body weight per day.

    Children aged 3-9 months (5.5 kg - 8.0 kg). For 1 suppository (60 mg) 3 times for 24 hours after 6-8 hours, not more than 180 mg per day.

    Children aged 9 months - 2 years (8.0 kg - 12.5 kg). 1 suppository (60 mg) 4 times within 24 hours after 6 hours, no more than 240 mg per day.

    Postimmunization fever.

    Children under the age of 1 year - 1 suppository. Children over the age of 1 year - 1 suppository, if necessary, one more after 6 hours.

    Duration of treatment

    No more than 3 days as an antipyretic. If fever persists, consult a physician. Do not exceed the indicated dosage. Not more than 5 days as an anesthetic.

    Side effects:

    When using the drug, side effects are rare, but the following side effects may occur:

    - from the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting, a feeling of discomfort or pain in the epigastrium, laxative effect, there may be erosive and ulcerative lesions, bleeding;

    - allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria, exacerbation of bronchial asthma, angioedema, anaphylactoid reactions, anaphylactic shock, bronchospasm, fever, erythema multiforme exudative (including Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell's syndrome);

    - from the nervous system: headache, dizziness, psychomotor agitation, insomnia;

    - the cardiovascular system: tachycardia, increased blood pressure;

    - from the hematopoiesis: anemia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, leukopenia;

    - from the urinary system: a violation of kidney function, cystitis.

    If these and other side effects occur, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor.

    Overdose:

    Problems with overdose occur very rarely, but if you accidentally exceed the recommended dose, consult a doctor immediately.

    Overdose Symptoms: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, tinnitus, metabolic acidosis, coma, acute renal failure, lowering of blood pressure, bradycardia, tachycardia. Treatment: forced diuresis, symptomatic therapy.

    Interaction:Ibuprofen when used simultaneously with anticoagulants may lead to an increase in their effect. Increases the concentration of digoxin, phenytoin, methotrexate, lithium in blood plasma with simultaneous application with these drugs. Reduces the effectiveness of diuretics and antihypertensive drugs. Increases the side effects of mineralocorticosteroids and glucocorticosteroids.
    Form release / dosage:Suppositories rectal by 60 mg.
    Packaging:For 5 suppositories in a contour cell box from a polyvinyl chloride film. Two contour packs together with instructions for medical use in a pack of cardboard.
