Antiseptic activity increases with increasing ethanol concentration. To disinfect the skin, 70% solution is used, which penetrates more deeply into the deeper layers of the epidermis than 90%, which has a tanning effect on the skin and mucous membranes.

Indications:

Treatment of the initial stages of diseases: furuncle, panaritium, mastitis; treatment of the hands of the surgeon (methods of Fürbringer, Alfred),the surgical field (including those with hypersensitivity to other antiseptics, in children and in operations on areas with thin skin in adults - neck, face).

As a local irritant.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity.

Dosing and Administration:

Outer, in the form of lotions. To process the surgical field and pre-surgical disinfection of the hands of the surgeon, 70% solution is used, it is recommended to use a 40% solution for compresses and wipes (to avoid burns).

90% solution should be diluted to the required concentrations and used according to indications.

As an irritant - in the form of wipes and compresses.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, skin burns, redness and soreness of the skin in the place of compress.

When used externally, it is partially absorbed through the skin and mucous membranes and may have a resorptive general toxicity (central nervous system depression).

Special instructions:

Ethanol for external use is partially absorbed through the skin and mucous membranes, which should be taken into account when it is used in children.

Solution for external use and preparation of dosage forms 70% and 90%.

Packaging:

To 25 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml into bottles of a colorless or light-shielding glass, sealed with polyethylene plugs or lids made of polyethylene or caps by aluminum or other closures.

100 ml in polyethylene bottles complete with a cover with a control opening.
