Pharmacodynamics:

Hexicon ® D - antiseptic preparation for local (intravaginal) use, is active against the simplest, Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, viruses, including in relation to Treponema pallidum, Chlamidia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis, Herpes simplex II type. Some strains are slightly sensitive to the drug Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp., and also resistant to acid-fast forms of bacteria, bacterial spores. Hexicon® D does not interfere with the functional activity of lactobacilli.

Pharmacokinetics:

Systemic absorption with intravaginal application is insignificant.

Indications:

The preparation Gexikon® D, vaginal suppositories, is indicated for the local treatment of sexual infections in children, used in children's gynecology in girls from 6 months to the onset of menarche. Treatment of vulvovaginitis (including nonspecific, mixed, gonorrheal, trichomonads), bacterial vaginosis.

Prevention of venereal diseases (syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis), infectious and inflammatory complications in children's gynecology (for example, before operative treatment of gynecological diseases).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Dosing and Administration:

Preliminarily releasing the suppository from the contour cell package, insert it into the vagina in the supine position on the back.

For treatment: 1 suppository 2 times a day, for 7-10 days. If necessary, it is possible to extend the course of treatment to 20 days.

For prevention of sexually transmitted diseases: 1 suppository not later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse.

Side effects:

Extremely rare (less than 0.1% of cases) are allergic reactions, itching, after the drug is withdrawn.

Overdose:

At present, no cases of drug overdose have been reported.

Interaction:

It is not recommended simultaneous application with iodine.

It is not compatible with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose) and soaps if they are administered intravaginally.The toilet of the external genitalia does not affect the efficacy and tolerability of suppositories of vaginal Hexicon® D, since the drug is administered intravaginally.

Special instructions:

Hexicon ® D retains its activity (albeit somewhat lowered) in the presence of blood, pus. Suppositories have a reduced size, created specifically for the treatment of girls.

Packaging:

5 suppositories are placed in a contour mesh package made of a polyvinyl chloride film, laminated with polyethylene. One or two contour packs together with instructions for medical use of the drug are placed in a pack of cardboard.

Storage conditions:
